چکیده

This paper presents a robust approach for calculating spatial-domain Green’s functions on the interface or close to the interface of planar multilayered microstrip structures with lossless or lossy dielectric materials for a wide range of frequencies and layer thicknesses. We compute the mixed potential Green’s functions for distance for 200 points from 0.1 to 10 wavelengths. The CPU is less than 30 s for each frequency on a Pentium-IV 2.4-GHz PC. In the case of moderate layer thickness, the fast Fourier transform (FFT) method is introduced to the half-space extraction method in order to calculate all values of the different radial source-to-field separations simultaneously. For thin layers, the results are computed by the contributions of the vertical-branch cut and the addition of a surface-wave pole. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Hybrid Finite Element-Fast Spectral Domain Multilayer Boundary Integral Modeling of Doubly Periodic Structures

Hybrid finite element (FE) boundary integral (BI) analysis of infinite periodic arrays is extended to include planar multilayered Green’s functions. In this manner, a portion of the volumetric dielectric region ci~n be modeled via the finite element method whereas uniform multilayered regions can be modeled using a multilayered Green’s function. As such, thick uniform substrates can be modeled ...

Magnetic Potential Green’s Dyadics of Multilayered Waveguide for Spatial Power Combining Applications

Integral equation formulation and magnetic potential Green’s dyadics for multilayered rectangular waveguide are presented for modeling interacting printed antenna arrays used in waveguidebased spatial power combiners. Dyadic Green’s functions are obtained as a partial eigenfunction expansion in the form of a double series over the complete system of eigenfunctions of transverse Laplacian operat...

An Fft-based Approach in Acceleration of Discrete Green’s Function Method for An- Tenna Analysis

In this paper, the fast Fourier transform (FFT) to perform spatial convolutions of the time domain discrete Green’s functions (DGF) method related to the analysis of the antenna with more than one dimension has been proposed. For this aim, the discrete Green’s functions and the currents on the antenna have been appropriately defined periodic so as to use the zero padded fast Fourier transform. ...

Multilayered Media Green’s Functions in Integral Equation Formulations

A compact representation is given of the electricand magnetic-type dyadic Green’s functions for plane-stratified, multilayered, uniaxial media based on the transmission-line network analog along the axis normal to the stratification. Furthermore, mixed-potential integral equations are derived within the framework of this transmission-line formalism for arbitrarily shaped, conducting or penetrab...
